I have a home family daycare. We have a privacy fenced in backyard which is close all the time during outdoor play. We have at least two hour of outdoor play if weather permitted an hour in the morning & an hour in the afternoon. I have more than 10 years of experience as an early childhood lead teacher at a childcare center & in a Montessori school. I have my daycare for almost 4 years now. My style at teaching is based on the child's needs and focus n concept not memorization. My assistant is responsible of teaching children Spanish. We aim for the children in our care to be able to learn to speak the Spanish before he/she leaves in our program. Children in my care will have the freedom to play, explore and learn independently in our classroom while the teachers challenge them to their full potential. We aim to have your child as a well rounded child & ready for kindergarten as soon as he/she leaves in our program. We have a daily routine schedule to follow. Children thrive on routines and we try to make sure to follow it as much as we can. Our classroom is filled with carefully selected and prepared developmentally appropriate activities and materials. We are equipped with child sized furniture which enables each child to develop independence, as well as foster the child's ability to progress at their own pace, to seek answers to their questions, to follow their interests, and to develop to their fullest potential. We use the State recognized curriculum the Creative Curriculum that serves to answer each child's needs rather than binds each child in a rigid sequence. Our warm & home like living community provides children the opportunity to establish friendships not just amongst their own age groups but also with younger and older children in the program.
